natural- sometimes when you smell something natural it can be negative
old- something can be positive like an old antique which could be worth big money
committed-you can be committed to do something that you know its wrong so it sometime may be negative.
free- sometimes getting free stuff will be negative by not knowing that the worth of it is small.
chemical- can be used to cleanse stuff
lazy- being lazy after hardworking isn't a problem
brittle, hard, fragile- The test today for English 11 was very hard.
The word brittle and fragile could not substitute the word in "hard" in the sentence because they wouldn't match how the sentence went. They both may mean the same thing, but they got to match the sentence that is placed in.
quiet, withdrawn, glum- Everybody was quiet today in class.
the other 2 words don't match the sentence, the meaning would change what the sentence really meant.
shrewd, clever, cunning- That girl right there is a clever one!
the meaning of the sentence will mean differently if you substitute it with the other two words.
strange, bizarre, remarkable- Strange things may have occur in after many people being killed in this town.
one of the other words can probably substitute the word strange but the meaning wouldn't be the same.
thrifty, miserly, economical- We are facing the down fall of our economical crisis.
the words could mean the same as what my sentence means but the words will change up what its really pointing out in the sentence.
mother- A mother is like source of life, shes the one who brought life into this world. They are very special to their kids, husbands and family. I would kill for my mom if I found out someone was trying to mess with her, my mom is my everything and if she got hurt i would be too. Moms are always there for you, if you ask everybody in the world to describe there mom, it would be mostly positive comments. Being a mother is a hard job to do because they are the ones that gets hurt easily, worried 24/7 when her kids aren't home yet, making sure the house is clean, dinner is ready and laundry and so much more.
What you've got here looks good, but ask me for some clarification about part 2. At this point you should have three journal entries, including a brief summary, important quotation, QAR question and 2 completed sentences stems.
